Team Profile 2014: #18, #25, #33, #43

Team 105 are made up of Scouts, Leaders and members of the Phantom Explorer Unit who have been racing together for a few years. They are a great mix and all enjoy the riggors of racing.

Team Profile 2013: #69, BAR Racing

Back from our “sabbatical” last season, the BAR Waifs and Strays make their return to the BPCC after sitting out the 2012 season.
After an unexpected by many start to the season at Wombwell, and a hard earned 4th place at Bruntingthorpe. We are once again looking forward to spectacle of the Shenington 24. The foundation of the team will once again be made up of our regular stable of strays:

  • Martin (Brow) Davis of Hampshire and formerly of BSE racing
  • Rob (Boyo) Fulford of Swansea. The team’s longest serving rider since 2005

Team Profile 2013: #19 UK Youth

Our team for Shenington is a mix of pedallers from those that raced at Netheravon's pedal car race back on May bank holiday Monday where I was challenged to get a team together for this 24 hour race. We are a mix of ages, none of which have entered this race before but we all love pedal car racing so we'll just have to see how we do! We are racing to raise money for UK Youth which is a national youth work charity which works with some of the most disadvantaged and hard-to-reach young people in the UK.

Team Profile 2013: #4, #33 Wing Racers

Definition of ‘Wing Racers’: An assortment of happy, cheery human beings up for anything.
Definition of a ‘Wing Racer’: One who is out to do their team proud.

Wing Racers are made up of 2 PC1 teams:
Team 1 = a group of enthusiastic lads, with an appetite for engineering and built for speed with one aim - to finish as high as possible.
Team 2 = a team of mixed abilities, mixed personality and multi cultural individuals with one aim – to get through the race!

Team Profile 2013: #75 Team Serena

We are pleased to welcome Team Serena from Italy to the Shenington 24 hour race for the first time.

Team Serena have competed in the UK before at Blackbushe and they dominated the 24 hour race at St. Etienne de Chigny in France last August making them hot favourites for the win.

Team Profile 2013: #12, #27, #28, #56 Team 105

We are a Scout Group based in Manchester and this is our 5th year of competing in the British Pedal Car Series. This is also our 21st year in Scoutcar Racing.

Starting back in 1993 building a car in 5 days to compete in the National Scoutcar Championships in Wolverhampton. We had a great day and from that day on we have grown from strength to strength. Building more cars and encouraging more scouts to have a go. We have gained many successes in Scoutcar racing and once we purchased our first Apollo chassis from Jeremy the excitement and new challenges drove us forward.

Team Profile 2013: #31 Doughty Engineering

Doughty Racing – a merry band of cycle and engineering enthusiasts, athletes and professionals with one aim: To spend hundreds of hours lovingly crafting a fine human powered vehicle, then race it to the edge of destruction.

Team Profile 2013: #64 Winchcombe Wheelers

We are a group of local cyclists who are prepared to try anything

Team Profile 2013: #15, #34, #35, #55 Phoenix Flyers

We are a Scout Pedal Car Team from South Yorkshire comprising of South Yorkshire Network, Doncaster Explorers and Scouts from Tickhill, a village outside Doncaster.

This is our 3rd visit to Shenington and this year the interest has been so great we have entered 4 cars.

We have 3 cars based on drawings given to us by Jes Featherstone and a 4th, home made one, affectionately known as “Doris”.

We had a pre-Shenington “shake down” at Wombwell and this has led us to make some minor changes to our 3 race cars and significant changes to Doris.
